Our bodies relax when we are able to be ourselves, without filters, within the presence of love. We yearn for partnership that holds us as we are, without judgement. As we re-learn how to stay grounded in our personal truth, we accept that we live in ebbs and flows, often discovering where we are in the moment. We build our capacity to know ourselves and tell the truth with compassion. We carry less shoulds and perfectionist expectations. This realness helps us not hide from ourselves and accept support more quickly, inside and out.
My agreement to myself is that I level with me about what I am feeling and how I am reacting. I am under no obligation to share unless I want to and that my communication is useful. When I first started learning communication skills, I was so frightened to be vulnerable that I would rather live in denial I hid from myself so I did not have to tell the world. Made me feel like a paper doll, cute with not much depth.
