When you hear disturbing news, rather than closing down to prevent overwhelm, concentrate on Compassion. Practice until your response becomes automatic. When you are presence, the pattern you are working with transforms. You may not always be able to register the shift, but that does not mean it didn’t happen As you bring your light to your helpless and hopeless, the darkness digests and you are able to embrace greater learning.
