The Truth shall set you Free.
We can use this statement as a roadmap to generate courage for our
next steps. Living in the truth is a continual process of awakening.
To hear the deeper truth requires directness, an honest embrace
of the bigger picture and a deep acceptance of the nature of change.
It requires the cultivation of the heart as the voice of wisdom
and compassion. We all occasionally trip over our own delusions
and protective mechanisms. Freedom comes when we embrace truth from
deep within our hearts.
Think about what happens when we are not being true. Our personality
is guarded when we are hiding. This elevates our health risk, our
joy moves to a place of calculation and we find ourselves stuck
in repetitive thoughts. Compassion and healing feel out of reach
as our pride and self-protection smother the spiritual flow. Our
perception can become empty and meaningless, casting shadows into
the world that feels dark and foreboding. This causes our spirit
to separate into a place of fantasy and idealism, splitting off
from reality. This creates an exaggerated light and dark.
For myself, I have realized that I have lived much of my life as
'Chicken Little' attempting to become 'Wonder Woman'. I attempted
to avoid conflict and confrontation at all costs. I was determined
to please all those around me without much consideration of the
price to my deeper self. I lived in a great deal of fear most of
the time. Because of my sensitivity, I was very aware of people's
needs and motives. Anger paralyzed me; yet, I magnetized it toward
myself like a tidal wave of aggression. This juxtaposition had one
side of my nature hiding and accommodating, while my warrior side
tried to protect by hardness and confrontation. I built a cover
persona over the person who seemed always on edge. I was attempting
to protect my lack of self-esteem and feelings of emptiness. Talk
about inner conflict! I was pushed into the dark caves of self-delusion
by this fear-aggression combo. Within me, I knew that if any spiritual
progress were to unfold, I would need a meltdown of my ego projections
and a new relationship with my emotions. My real work was about
to begin. My search for the truth was literally my life saving tool.
My first agreement was to tell the truth to myself. I started with
simple things. I had to own how often I was willing to lie to myself.
I was learning, first hand, how my family environment and the culture
itself trained me in self-deception. I grew up with "let's
pretend and go numb" and I was good at it. I was amazed to
discover that as soon as I realized the deeper truths from which
I was hiding, the outside world seemed to know it already. It was
as if the truth itself created a field of awareness that did not
need words to be communicated. The truth was bigger than my personal
recognition. This caught my attention. I began to understand integrity
on another level; when people are living in their truth, you can
actually feel it. Truth does speak louder than words.
Lesson Two: Do reality checks and be as real
as possible. Stay grounded.
I noticed that my body does not lie. When I withheld the truth,
I could feel the pressure rise, experiencing headaches and sore
muscles. When I was not true to myself, I would find that projects
would become chaotic and I was more vulnerable to negative patterns.
Without truth, there was no clear core of reality and my world would
start to disintegrate. It would often take that kind of pressure
on my ego to get me to be honest with my feelings and acknowledge
my limitations. Each time I would lose my center, I would gain a
deeper understanding of "The Truth shall Prevail."
Be true to yourself is a very powerful principle. It acts like an
elixir, meant to cleanse and purify consciousness daily. The strength
it provided helped me learn how to manage and eventually eliminate
most fears and temper the aggression that colored my words when
I was hiding. As this experiment continued, I felt an uncovering
of power greater than any concept could convey. I discovered the
power of the Truth Field, a body of consciousness that is generated
by staying consciously connected to spirit while living honestly
in a loving way. This spiritual field had a centering effect, making
myself and the people around me more clear and open to their potential.
The Truth Field generated Truth. If there is a power of liberation
capable of transforming our world, the Truth field will be a central
part of the equation. Learning how to hold this power is a balance
between an art and a science.
Our intention is to share these teachings now.
When we are capable of learning how to use them, every emotion
becomes a tool to help in our quest for liberation.
I realized that every emotion is a tool to bring me closer to the
truth. The challenge is to learn how to use each emotion. When my
darkness spoke, it said things that my conscious mind was not allowed
to say. At the core of every emotion lay aspects of the truth. Anger
becomes a tool for discernment; it burns away the ignorance that
creates illusion. Confusion acknowledges when I am caught between
belief systems and unable to embrace the new world; confusion creates
a protective veil to help me adjust gradually to change. Resentment
tells me when I am not taking care of myself and can erupt into
guilt and blame. The old bitter, blaming voice growls, wanting to
be taken care of but the state itself does not know how to release
control and be receptive to being supported. If I can listen as
a loving interpreter, which is often hard to do with the dark side,
I can begin to take responsibility to learn how to be nurtured in
a healthy way.
I was not taught how to use my emotions as tools, nor shown how
to listen for the truth. I spent a great amount of time being right
and protective. I discovered that emotions contain tremendous power.
I have accepted that I needed to subdue these emotional currents
until I learned to utilize the gifts that they bring. I moved beyond
the old structures of 'right and wrong'. I found that I was capable
of experiencing love and empowerment with every emotion when I approached
it with respect. When directed by truth and wisdom, the emotional
body becomes an energy reservoir that opens the deep currents necessary
for awakening. I am now more able to experience living spirit and
realize the true power of unconditional love.
Lesson three: Reveal my hidden nature to the
light.
Move with emotional currents that bring deeper truth.
I have found that everything that I ask for from the outside world,
like love and respect, must first be cultivated from my higher self,
which makes a space available for receiving. If I do not prepare
the space within, it is almost impossible to get love and respect
from the outside world. This awareness taught me to be grateful
to my dark voices, even when they are difficult. By bringing this
message into my heart, I have found solutions that were not available
before. The light of my spirit has resources not found in my pain.
Use this time to Dance in the Light and claim
your true nature.
When we commit to the truth, it gives
us the courage to face whatever is in front of us. With practice,
we are able to penetrate our experience and gain wisdom. The work
ahead requires that we learn how to generate Truth Fields. Truth
brings strong resonance to our nature, allowing us to manifest faster
and with more ease. Our intuition sharpens, the world becomes clear.
As we use our emotions as empowerment tools, a new foundation is
established. Through this process, we gain access to parts of our
consciousness that we only imagined.
