One of the first measures done to see if you are alive is to see if you are breathing. Are you? As you become more awake and aware, your body calls for a grounding focus. The breath is the most common ground in most spiritual practices. Your breath is the gauge of what you are feeling. Holding your breath acknowledges you are feeling contraction and fear, full aromatic breathe acknowledges pleasure.
Let your breath take you into each moment. We love to breathe tree air as we get off of airplanes and feel the mist as we stand by the river. Take in the moment as air moves through your system. Notice how your awareness sharpens as you begin to notice that you are here, that you feel, that you love.
We honor the air element and its correspondent, the heart center, as we learn to Expand and Receive.
